A Tribute…Because I Couldn’t Have Done It Without You

I totally understand how authors feel when they say their nervous they might forget someone in their acknowledgements.

I feel the same way this morning!

So many people have come alongside me to help Unicorn Quester go from “just an idea” and actually become a reality.

And let me tell you, I have been overwhelmed by all the support and love from so many different people on this new journey! It has been incredibly exciting to see others share about their favorite books and celebrating their authors’ magic this past month.

Truly, it has been a blast and made this fangirl smile and squeal on numerous occasions!

This morning as I pen this tribute, I could’t help but think of The Afters’ song “No Man Is An Island.” Their words reflect this entire launch and would love to express my thanks to:

My husband, who has totally supported this idea from the beginning and encouraged me to pursue this dream.  I love you so much and look forward to all the late nights of chatting your ears off as I interview more authors! Thank you for listening. <3

Jacqueline Patterson, who took the time to have a brainstorming session one late night and google unicorn names. Thank you for sharing in my excitement every step of this journey and am so thankful for all your encouragement.

Janeen Ippolito, who was like “Yeah, let’s make this thing work” and then met with me to brainstorm and talk so it could. She helped create the tagline and more than once reminded me I don’t need to panic when I sent her frenzied messages. I have one of the coolest author coaches ever and looking forward to more awesome sessions, Janeen!

Jamie Foley, who went above and beyond for my website! Seriously, I can’t thank you enough for all the time you’ve dedicated to making this site be so shiny, Jamie! It’s beautiful and can’t wait to feature you on here for the first time!

Realm Mothers, who held my hand virtually when I was panicking about my mission statement one Saturday morning and encouraged and prayed for me. I felt those prayers so strongly, ladies, and I’m so thankful for a group of amazing women I can chat with (no matter how late or early it might be).

Becky, Heather, Veronica, Bethany, and Janeen, who gave awesome feedback on my mission statement for Unicorn Quester! You ladies helped transformed it into something that was “okay” to being something “better.” Was so thankful for your encouragement and support to keep working on it! Also, thank you for  showing me the editing process doesn’t have to be scary when you have great beta readers and editors. 😉

Bethany Jennings, who gave me writing tips that was game changing. Thankful you were up for proofreading the mission statement multiple times and praying for me. So blessed to know and cheer you on, Bethany!

Veronica Lynn, who kindly told me she wasn’t feeling my pictures I originally had and searched for ones that more accurately fit this site. I love them! I’m also thankful you pushed to me to be more personal with the mission statement and not all business. You also helped with countless other things concerning this launch to be smoother and more engaging such as feedback on the mission statement, giveaway ideas, newsletter taglines, and graphics. You rock, Veronica!

Jennette and Bethany, who shared suggestions for a username when I found out Unicorn Quester was taken. Thank you for all the usernames you suggested that could be just as awesome and unique!

Kayla, who had a great suggestion for my business cards, even though originally I thought it wouldn’t work. I wouldn’t have them any other way now!

Desiree Williams and Jannette Fuller, who both made me smile and laugh with their excitement for this “surprise,” even though they didn’t know what it fully was. So thankful for your prayers and encouraging me every single step of the way.

Kara Grant, who prayed for me and sent smiles my way with the launching of Unicorn Quester (and everything before it!). So thankful you’re one of my best friends, Kara!

The special guests at the launch party, who came and celebrated this launch with me. It meant so much to have you guys come share your magic with other book nerds (while having so much fun!). Was so blessed by each of you and loved your questions! Can we do it again sometime? 😉

To those who attended the launch party, who literally blew me away with all their support and comments! I was amazed and humbled by you guys sharing in this celebration with me. Thank you so much and looking forward to doing it again!

To every person who has cheered me on, prayed for me, encouraged, supported, and fangirled with me, thank you!! I am so humbled by all the likes, comments, shares, and love shown throughout this launch. You all are such a blessing and really appreciate you supporting me. If I could send you all chocolate, I would!

Lastly, but certainly not least, my Heavenly Father, Savior, and Advocate, who birthed this dream before I even realized it. No words can truly reflect how thankful I am to be on this journey, but still I say thank you with all my heart! I never imagined being here today and am humbled by Your great love for me. May I always love others as You have loved me. <3
