Friends, it is blog tour kick-off day and I am SUPER pumped!
I had the exciting privilege to interview not just one author for this tour, but two. Eeeekk! And let me tell you, these ladies are soooo sweet and funny. It truly is an honor having them stop by to chat with me. 🙂
However, before we dive into our funny conversation, let me introduce you to their incredible books.
About the Books
A prince cursed to sleep.
A princess destined to wake him.
A kingdom determined to stop them.
High Prince Alexander has been cursed to a sleep like unto death, a curse that will end the line of the high kings and send the Seven Kingdoms of Tallahatchia into chaos. With his manservant to carry his luggage and his own superior intelligence to aid him, Alex sets off to find one of the Fae and end his curse one way or another.
A hundred years later, Princess Rosanna learns she is the princess destined by the Highest King to wake the legendary sleeping prince. With the help of the mysterious Daemyn Rand, can she find the courage to finish the quest as Tallahatchia wavers on the edge of war?
One curse connects them. A hundred years separate them. From the rushing rivers of Tallahatchia’s mountains to the hall of the Highest King himself, their quests will demand greater sacrifice than either of them could imagine.
Freedom begins with finding the truth.
Amidst the turmoil caused by Smyth’s arrest, Celeste is stuck in limbo, stripped of her citizenship, with no choice but to flee to a peaceful Kyraenean hideaway with the tumultuous Amaya Mason.
When bounty hunters threaten the local orphanage, Celeste and Amaya must work together and fight. Even if it means risking what they cherish the most.
His plans in tatters, his career in jeopardy, Mick Haynes is forced to leave Kyraenea with the enigmatic Torrance Kyle, the agent he still can’t trust.
Torrance is good at lying, and even better at hiding his pain, but is he strong enough to deal with the consequences of betraying his own father?
Can Celeste accept the truth, accept her place in the Haynes family or will lies chain her to the past and destroy her chance at a new life?
– Hi ladies! I am SO very excited to be chatting with you! Since I’m a little hungry at the moment, what’s one thing you think is in the other’s fridge?
Tricia: Besides the normal stuff like milk, eggs, and cheese and stuff? Probably leftovers that her children are refusing to eat. Not that the leftovers aren’t good, but children have a thing against eating leftovers for some reason.
Sarah: Ha ha! I do have leftovers! And I think Tricia has Mountain Dew in her fridge. Lots of it.
Tricia: You would be correct, LOL.
Sarah: The leftovers are still there….
– I actually have a lot of leftovers in my fridge currently, Sarah. LOL! What kind of fantasy creature does the other keep in their secret basement?
Tricia: A house elf. Either that or Sarah is Wonder Woman. I’m not sure how she manages to homeschool her children, write, and still find time to clean her house. I’m single and I struggle to keep my house somewhat, reasonably clean. Okay, fine. It’s a construction zone. It’s allowed to be a mess, right?
Sarah: *snorts* if you saw my house, Tricia….I think Tricia probably has a shaggy coated unicorn she rides when her own horse isn’t looking.
Tricia: My horse thinks he’s a cross between Shadowfax and Maximus. I wouldn’t dare ride a unicorn behind his back. You should’ve seen the stink eye he gave my first truck when I bought it years ago.
Sarah: Is now trying to imagine a horse giving ‘stink eye’. *chuckles*
– Hahaha! I have to wonder what a horse giving a stink eye would look like too. 😉 Also, I think Sarah just might have a house elf too, Tricia. Hehe! Uh oh! Somehow you both have switched books! What’s one character or creature you want to hangout with for a day from that story?
Tricia: One character from Sarah’s stories. Hmmm…I think I’m going to pick a surprising answer and go with Ashur. He’s such a sweetheart, and I’m sure his horse is kind of a package deal, so I could hang out with him and his horse.
Sarah: Asher would be chuffed to show you around Macetown, Tricia. I want to hang out with Tricia’s baddie from Dagger’s Sleep (no spoilers) I want to try and figure them out.
Tricia: Oooh, yes. Actually, as far as baddies go, hanging out with the one from Dagger’s Sleep would be much preferable than any from The Blades of Acktar. Your chances of survival are marginally higher.
Sarah: Let’s face it, if I showed up in either world, I likely be dead within the opening scene. Tricia would survive. She can do lots of stuff. Me, not so much.
– Oh, I would love to hangout with Asher, Tricia! He’s so sweet! Sarah, this is a time where we need that house elf to come save us. 😉 If you both decided to co-write a story together and had two main characters, who or what would they be?
Tricia: Those poor main characters. I don’t think they’d survive. We both tend to be more comfortable writing male characters, so I assume the two main characters would probably be guys who are best friends (or enemies that become friends?) who have horrible, tortured pasts.
Sarah: They’d absolutely be mercenaries or assassins or a combination of both. And yes they’d probably try to kill each other before they grew into a reluctant friendship. We’d probably both write alpha males who’d fight for dominance. I mean can you imagine Torrance and Leith sharing a scene?
Tricia: *snorts* That would not go well. I mean, they really should bond over similar father issues, but they handle it in completely different ways. Torrance is all outward bravado, which would drive Leith bonkers, and Leith is all silence and cold, which Torrance would make it his personal mission to crack. Not going to end well. At all.
– Now I totally want this to be a thing! 😀 That sounds quite awesome. Haha! Thanks so much for chatting with me ladies! I had so much fun! 🙂
