#onelinewednesday: Dancing and Doughnuts

If you are on the hunt for a fun western read that just might also be a clean fairytale retelling, then friend, I have happy news for you!

I recently read just that by a new-to-me author: Rachel Kovaciny.

Her latest release, Dancing and Doughnuts, had a dash of romance, intriguing mystery, and of course, dancing and doughnuts. 😉

However, as much as I loved these things about this story, it was the main character who stole the show.

Jedediah Jones.

He was a great hero to cheer for and had me smiling on more than one occasion with his thinking. I also loved his sense of honor and respect. Plus, he’s a great detective!

I can’t forget to mention that he did pull my heartstrings when he shared some of his past and made me want to hug him. (I’m sure I might have not been the only one. Hehe!) He unexpectedly learns a few things out West, even though I’m not sure he had intended to or not.

One of my favorite quotes by him is the one below that reflects some of his reason for coming out that way.

About the Author:

Laura A. Grace had a lifelong dream of getting to know authors behind the covers of her favorite reads. Little did she know that one day she would become an author, too! An avid BookTuber and book blogger at Unicorn Quester, as well as writer of clean, Christian manga, Laura creatively balances her passions of supporting indie authors and feeding her readers new stories. In between, she wields plastic lightsabers with her children and binge-watches anime with her husband.

I’m honored that you chose my book for your feature! And I love the graphic you paired that line with — it’s perfect!
